About the Artist, Grant Dolge
All the artwork in this issue was generously provided by Grant Dolge.
Since earning his BFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology over thirty years ago, Grant Dolge has been making a living solely from the sale of his paintings. He has worked in oil, egg tempera, and watercolor, but his most recent passion has been soft pastel, a medium that provides immediate color results. Dolge studied color theory with Fritz Trautman of the University of Rochester after graduating from college, and it is Trautman's color theory of arranging a palette based on color wavelengths that has most influenced his painting.
